Error in Running the info package

Hi All,

I am facing a problem in running info package(for Delta of forecasting data) corresponding to the data source "ZMAP_REFCST"(A data source which we use for forecasting data) .The problem is shown as following:

Further analysis:

The error occurred in Extractor .

How you remove the error depends on the error

Note

If the source system is a Client Workstation, then it

is possible that the file that you wanted to load was

being edited at the time of the data request. Make

sure that the file is in the specified directory, that it is

not being processed at the moment, and restart the

request.

When I clicked on the step by step analysis tab then it is showing the following error message :

Can anybody please help me on this issue .As because of this the data is not updated in the corresponding psa and hence not in the DSO.

Hi sumit,

Well when you execute info package for a data source in R/3 for that particular data source it will set an update lock for initial load, full or delta loads.

Suppose it is fail to set an update lock as you shown the errors will be generated. So, go to t-code SM12 and delete the locks related to your data source OK.

And re-run the info package again OK.

Hi Chandramouli,

I have followed these steps:

Step -1 : I have checked in t code : SM12 for the locked entries to the corresponding table of the data source (ZMAP_REFCST) on R3 side as well as on BW side.

But no lock entry is there on the corresponding table of the data source.

Step 2: I have run the info package so many times but it is showing the same error as shown above.

Kindly suggest what to do in such a case.

Hi All,

I would like to inform all of you that I got the reason behind the error.For this I followed the following steps:

step 1: Run the program rsds_datasource_activate_all in se38 on BI side.While running this program untick the option of inactive only.This will activate all the data sources present in the system.

step 2: After completion of this job replicate the data sources on the BI side.

step 3: When we execute the above mentioned programs then a job is automatically triggered in ECC side with name ( in my case) BIREQU_DC2VP9OYDY02F9Q6X43H31Z7E and it will show in sm37 the job created by BIADM (may be this also in my case only , but when i asked to my basis team then told me this happens)

step 4: Actually the job triggered on ECC side should be completed to complete this all process successfully.In case of job failure it will show error in extractor.

step 5: Now when this job get failed then go to its job log .In my case what I found the reason in job log regarding the job failure is as below:

"Fiscal year variant Z1 is not maintained for calendar year 2012"

Thus because in the table the fiscal year was not maintained it was showing error which I confirmed after asking my MAP consultant.So the error showing was right that there was some change in the file at the work station.

I want to add some further explanation to the error which i raised above :

When I double click on the first message with status red i.e

Data selection successfully started ? then it shows the following message :

Processing with errors in the source system.

Please go to the error message.

If possible click on 'Long text' there for further information.

Further after clicking on the Error message below the previous message it is showing the following message :

-

---

Job terminated in source system --> Request set to red

-

---

In the long text of this error message it is showing the following error message no.

-

---

Job terminated in source system --> Request set to red

Message no. RSM078

-

---

The same error message is showing in all the above requests with status red when on double clicking on them.

Please help in finding the solution.
