Difference BO XI 3.1 SP4 and BO 4.0 SP2 / SP3

Hello,

I wanted to ask you guys whether there are major changes between the two versions.

Performance ?

Setttings?

More functions related to the Catalog Browser, BO Mobile , Web Intelligence ... Drill Downs?

Are there any Information besides those PDFs by SAP.

Hi,

Can you tell me what all features are you looking for if i know about requirements then its easy for me to answer which version of mobile should you pick up.

Else i will have to give you a matrix which states Mobile server release and features supported. I can do that as well but it will take time.

We changed our BO server / tools from XI SP4 to 4.0 SP2!.

Now I wonder what differences has it made in relation to the possibilities of the available apps.

Hello,

I'm wondering are those Apps still in progress - Catalog Browser & BO Experience?

Is the "Catalog Browser" still working on BO 4 SP6?

SAP BO Mobile & SAP BO Explorer are the only Apps for OLAP is this right or is the App SAP BO Business byDesign for OLAP,too?

It would be nice to get any kind of Information.

Hi Mark,

As of BI4.1, the MOBI and Explorer have merged into a single app. These aren't OLAP specific, but can consume the BusinessObjects Universe.

FYI - Explorer can consume both UNV and UNX since SP06/4.1.

Hello,

SAP BO Mobile

SAP BusinessObjects 4.0 SP2 supports

1. Viewing of documents assigned to Mobile Category in Webi.

2. Only WebIntelligence Documents are supported.

3. Refresh and Prompts are also supported on these documents.

4. Three types of charts(Line, Bar, Pie) are supported along with tables.

5. User experience for charts is appreciated in this realease.

SAP BusinessObjects 4.0 SP2 Latest FP will support

1. Latest instances of scheduled document.

2. Support for enchancements to prompts.

Few more functionalities have been added but they will be shiped in FP13 or 14. So cant write about them now.

SBO Explorer.

I do not have much information on this product. But whatever is listed in documentation must work.

Catalog Browser.

This is a project which does not have official support from BO, so documentation also will be scarce, in case you have specific questions you can ask i will try to answer them.

SAP BO Experience is a demo product released for Customers to experince the feel of our product and then buy it :).
