System Copy error

Hello all,

I am doing homogenous system copy with backup restore method

System information:

Os: Win 2003

Database : Max db 7.5

SAP: ECC 5.0

Kernel patch level: 327

Backup available : offline database backup

I have performed following task

1. Successfully installed central instance.

2. Select install database installation with backup & restore method

3. Backup restored successfully

4.Following error occurred in step 12 MAX db database installation.

ERROR 2012-02-23 12:46:11

MOS-01012 PROBLEM: 'E:\usr\sap\SHD\SYS\exe\run/saplicense -R3Setup SHD "AIAYQKFB" TRACE=2' returned with '-2' which is not a defined as a success code.

hi amol,

first check the dev_slic for more detail and you have to upgrade the kernel.

Hello all,

actually i tested my scenario with the existing SID & it works fine i have completed backup restore method successfully.

Thanks for youe help.

However if i change the SID of SAP application then it prompt me below error message

ERROR 2012-02-25 12:15:54

MOS-01012 PROBLEM: 'E:\usr\sap\SHD\SYS\exe\run/saplicense -R3Setup SHD "YKCIALPH" TRACE=2' returned with '-2' which is not a defined as a success code.

I think it is license issue

Please share your ideas, how can i correct this problem?

Hello,

You have a problem with the license. Check using "saplicense -test".

Have you already installed a license in the system?
