Dear All,
I am looking for the answers for below questions:-
1. While creating new movement types, SAP recommends to use copy function. Can some one please what is the reason for that. what if one does not use the copy function to create new movement type.
2. For this new movement type, does the system automatically creates the reversal movement type as well.
Thanks In advance.
Dear,
Yes - system automatically copy related entreis of source movement into new movement if you select copy all.
If not selected copy all you have to define related entries like below:
Short Texts
Allowed Transactions
Help Texts
Field selection (from 201)/Batch search procedure
Field selection (Enjoy)
Update control / WM movement types
Account Grouping
Reversal/follow-on movement types
Reason for Movement
Deactivate QM inspection / delivery category
LIS Statistics Group
Which ever applicable.

Syed Hussain.

Dear,
Thanks a lot for your reply.
So does it mean, if I have created new movement type say "Z01" with copy function with movement type "201", system will copy all the related entries of mov type 201 including the reversal mov type 202 or does system creates reversal MvT type Z02 automatically.
hi,
1)sap recommends to copy existing movement type, because movement type is linked with many other objects like... account grouping of movement types. etc.
however you can create your own new movement type.
2)no system will not copy the reversal movement type automatically, you have to copy the reversal movement type manually.
for ex. if you want to copy 101 movement type, then in next step you have to copy the reversal of 101 i.e. 102 also.
to create new movement type pls go thru the below mentioned thread.
