Reservations through WM

Hi Guys

We are going to manage the Engineering stores with WM and we will be mainly issuing stock against reservations

We have designed a process where from the requirements in the reservations we will create an STO and then a Outbound Delivery to get the requirements in to WM so that we can pick and deliver etc

Does anybody know if you can create a STO with reference to a Reservation?

We plan to create a new front end screen for looking at reservations and subsequently creating STO/Delivery but to maintain the link we would like to reference the reservation in the STO

We will populate the 'requirement number' in the STO with the reservation number but this will not maintain a 'link'

It is as I thought

We are already developing a new front end to do this but I was checking to see if there was a 'natural' link between reservations and STO's.

We wil populate the STO with the reservation number and populate the reservation with the STO number so we will create a link

Hi Frenchy

With standard SAP there is no such provision that STO can be created through reservation.

But you can work with customised program to determine Vendor/supplying plnat , recieving plant , quantity , Material etc as all these information is maintained in Reservation. You can also think of msg output which will create STO (may be through an Idoc)
