Non stock item without material master in PM order

Hi All,

I am creating a PM order with Non stock item(item category-N) without material master in component tab only writing the short text of component.But the system is not allowing me to enter the Non stock item.cost exceeds error comes while i have not given any cost.Please let me know if any prerequisite settings are needed for non stock item component,

Please note i am able to create the order and complete the order successfully if material master is avvailable for the Non stock item.I Have also checked in item category settings for N category item where Material entry is optional.

So please guide me gurus..
