DMS Error - Error occurred when I try to download document from storage.

Hi, gurus

I'm new to DMS and using 3rd party content server now but I faced error.

let me explain my symtom.

First, I created Content Rep. EL

Document area: DMS

storage type: HTTP content server

Version: 0046

(note that connection test is successful.)

then, I created storage category , using content rep. EL

Finally, I registered document to the content server I created, using T-CODE CV01N - Display

but after that, i can not download the registered document from content server

I just faced error message u2193

File c:\temp\_IT300807.pdf could not be accessed

However, when I select storage Cat. to DMS_C1_ST(Default DMS storage),

I can download registered document

I think I need to make some settings to use 3rd party content server.

Can I know what setting is necessary to use 3rd party content server?

Hi Guys,

I am also facing the same error as below:

HTTP error: 501 Not Implemented ICS:5003: The ArchiveLink command ?adminContRep? is not supported in this scenario.

but changing the setting in sm59 is not helping.

kindly suggest the solution or the OSS note used.

any help will be appreciated.

Hi,

Could you check in Transaction code CSADMIN whether your repository has status running ?

Share configuration details from the Settings tab in CSADMIN if you are able to connect to Repository.

Hi kori, I typed into CSADMIN and check my repository is running

I'll give you detailed setting information

ContentStorageHost: localhost

ContentStorageName: SDB

Storage: ContentStorage.dll

Security: 1

ContRepDescription: Content Repository using DMS

driver: MaxDB

DefaultDocProt: Blank

Kindly restart your content server. Your problem will be solved.

Hi,

Make the following changes

ContentStorageHost: < Ip address or hostname of the machine where Content server is installed>

Security = 0.

Restart Content server and check the results.

Oops.....guys...now I can not see setting, certificate and other tabs

when i click the tabs, I faced error message like belowu2193

Solved by SAP OSS notes

HTTP connection is little bit wrong.

In t code SM59, go to TCP/IP Connection, Select SAPHTTP

Change activation type from "start on application server" to "start on Front-End Work Station"

After that, I can view the original document.
