field catalog in alv

i have a basic alv and i wont build a field catalog .i take my alv from se83 basic alv grid. i have to do a new data (delete my definition that work) or to build antor data ? .

Building field catalog is nothing but framing ur output.So depending on ur requirement u have to build ur fieldcatalog.Suppose u want 10 fields as ur output then build field catalog for 10 fields.

Regarding data u have to populate into final internal table use it in the function module.

Let me know if I have misunderstood ur problem.
