Hi AFS Gurus

Can someone please give me a basic overview of how dimension values work?

Dear Peter;

I think you are referring to grids in AFS. Grids are basically SAP AFS special feature used to classify the stocks according to various requirements of the apparel and footwear industries. Grid can contain up to three dimensions but it is not a must. For an example we can create a grid with the variables Size, Color and Quality Grade or only with Size depending on our requirement of maintaining data.

So this can create a matrix which is three dimensional. In total all three dimensions needs to be represented with 8 characters. For an example we can have a grid value XL_RED_A (Size XL, Color RED, Quality Grade A). for more information read the blog post below
