I am using SEM-BCS 4.0. The C/I task calculates Minority Interests in Current period profits.

How can Minority Interest in profit be shown in Income Statement?

Please suggest

Hi,

First you have to have an item for minority interest in the income statement.

Then do the following in the customizing workbench:

Consolidation of investments --> Settings --> Appropriation of retained earnings

Select the tab "Net Income" and assign the mentioned item in the section "Minority Interest in Annual Net Income".

Hi Ignaz,

I have already assigned an Income statment item under Consolidation of investments --> Settings --> Appropriation of retained earnings -->

"Net Income".

Please let me know what further settings I have to make to have this working.

Thanks,

Hi,

If the calculated MI is properly written to the MI item in P&L, you need just to include this item into a query.

Hi Eugene,

My question is that how do I ensure that MI is posted to P&L?

Hi,

First of all, check if in the settings you have the proper accounts for MI (UCWB - Consolidation functions - Consolidation of Investments - Settings - Equity). MI accounts should be assigned to every equity item.

Second, look at the journal entries after execution/testing the task in the monitor.

Best regards,

Eugene
