ALV list in spool request

Hi,

is it possible to print an ALV list to a spool request while keeping all the advanced options like sum and sorting ?

I have a report generating an ALV list.

When executing the report in the background, a spool request is created and the spool request type is 'Abap list'. All advanced options ( like sum, sorting ) are not avaible in the spool request.

thanks for your answer,

Rolf.

Hi Rolf,

I think there is no way to do that you want, because a Spool request is like a image based of screen printed.

if you are in versión 4.7 or higher, you can download ALV List in XML format, may be in this format you can use advanced options like sum and sort.

regards,

Alejandro.

Hi,

thanks for your reaction !

There is a 'save to local file' button in the spool request screen, then choose for spreadsheet.

Another solution that i received throught SapFans.com, is:

'One solution to long running report is to run the program in background, storing the results in a db table.

Then use a second program that simply reads the db table, and displays it in an ALV control. '
