Has anyone solved this issue?

I'm facing the same problem after upgrade BW from 7.0 to 7.4, and apply SP09...

Did one of these solutions worked?

  1. Try using a different browser.
  2. are you using a customized logon screen? If yes it could be a case that the logon screen permissions are not properly set. The logon screen is expecting an authenticated user.
  3. Someone had changed the password for J2EE_GUEST and it was locked out.  Try unlocking and correcting the password for that user.
  4. restart all service and DB, then reboot the system.
  5. check whether the portal certificate is available or not.  while trying to connect to the portal, the system will look into the portal certificate. If it is available , we won't get the intial screen. Please restore the certificate on the correct location . Then restart it.
  6. Check if your DB transaction log is full.

This post is "assumed solved" but, as I scroll down, I didn't get any permanent solution.

Hi Rajendra,

Are you still facing the issue?

are you using a customized logon screen? If yes it could be a case that the logon screen permissions are not properly set. The logon screen is expecting an authenticated user.

Try using a different browser.

Google Chrome gave me the same error message, but Internet Explorer worked.

I have already imported the certificate into the client 000 and have the same problem.

In the file I: \ usr \ sap \ BWE \ DVEBMGS00 \ j2ee \ cluster \ server0 \ log \ defaultTrace.trc

we have the following error:

Hi

We have the same problem on our portal, when I try to access http://xxx:51100/irj/portal

I got the error message as below.

Java iView Runtime

Version:7.00.200611091758

+Copyright 2002 SAP AG. All rights reserved.

But when I restart all service and DB, then reboot the system.

It seems working fine.

But after running 2-3 hours the system will fail again.

Thanks for the support.

Regards.

We managed to fix this problem. Someone had changed the password for J2EE_GUEST and it was locked out. Try unlocking and correcting the password for that user. Worked for us!

Hi,

Please check whether the portal certificate is available or not.

while trying to connect to the portal, the system will look into the portal certificate. If it is available , we won't get the intial screen.

Please restore the certificate on the correct location . Then restart it.

It might solve your problem.

Hi,

You need to import the certificate into the client which you are using as the backend client in the portal like(800,100 some thing like this).

As you are using BI system try check the validity of the certificate of the backend system also, if you change any thing then import the certificate into the portakl system.

Hi,

Check your SSO ticket expiry date. Mostly the SSO ticket will be valid only 1 or 2 years.

Hi,

Have you imported this certificate inthe backend abap system in 000 client and also in the client which you want to connect.

Check if your DB transaction log is full. That maybe why portal login page could not be loaded.

Try logging instead of the DNS of the server, try giving the IP address of teh server...

Or try restarting the Engine.

Hope it Helps!!

Hi,

I am getting the same problem. I am not able to see the login page and getting the java runtime error.

Any suggestion. I have restarted server itself.

Former Member

Hi Manish - We have gotten this error before, and the reason for it was the following. Our Portal's UME was tied to a backend R/3 system. If the Portal is running, and for some reason the backend R/3 System is down (i.e. for backups), you will receive this message on the logon page during that timeframe. Once the R/3 system is available again, you'll get the normal Netweaver logon page.

If you're UME is local, then you have a different issue....

In our case an upgrade to EP6 sp15 solved the problem.

I think the problem was in a corrupt desktop or theme.

But when I try http://portal:50000/irj I get

I am also getting this error. It just so happens that I was fooling around with security zones at the time?

Has anyone resolved this?

use the analyzer tool to see if all the settings required for portal are ok. you can access the tool at \usr\sap\<SID>\JC<instance#>\j2ee\portal_misc\analyzer\go.bat

Also instead of going to your portal login page, try going to webserver's main documentation page and try accesing User Management page.

are you getting this error after entering your credentials in the login page or when you access the login page?

check if all the files in the pcd and pcdContent directories are installed without an .err exctension.

Hi Rajenda,

Does the portal has a connection to his own database? Or the UME (User Management)?
