SMICM Activation of SMTP Service fails

Hello all,

I'm currently trying to activate SMICM SMTP service but the following symptom described in note 757804 allways occurs :

Symptom 
You want to send messages with the SAPconnect SMTP interface. The messages have the following error status,
"XS817: Cannot process message in SAP system",
and the long text,
"No ESMTP is available for SAPconnect".

When you try to start the Internet Connection Manager (ICM) with transaction SMICM, the system issues the following error message,
"Operation failed (rc=1-)", with message number ICM006.

My profile parameters are the following :

rdisp/start_icman = true

is/SMTP/virt_host_0 = *:25;

is/SMTP/virt_host_1 = *:25000;

icm/server_port_1 = PROT=SMTP,PORT=25,TIMEOUT=180

icm/server_port_2 = PROT=SMTP,PORT=25000,TIMEOUT=180

As I followed instructions detailed at

... in SICF, for SAP Connect service, I use is/SMTP/virt_host_0 as host data

Why can't I activate SMTP service in SMICM ???

I have got only 3 services :

HTTP on port 8089

both SMTP 25 and 25000

Did you check if the TCP port 25 it´s not used from some other services ?
