S_PROGRAM for SM37

Hi,

We would to limit our MM group running any of their programs in background jobs. We would to accomplish following ( using S_PROGRAM ?):

1) List the set of programs that a group could add to a job

2) Prevent users from adding programs to job steps

When we look at SM37, the S_PROGRAM is checked internally and it may require to make it check/maintain and assign the value.

any of you have, similar issues and resolved anyway ?

Thanks Ruchit.. Wondering if, we specify program group field (P_GROUP) to S_PROGRAM and limit the users ability to assign program to the job step?

Hello Raj,

Remove value RELE from authorization object S_BTCH_JOB in all roles assigned to these users. Then they wont be able to release the jobs. Further S_BTCH_NAM removal will also serve your cause.
