Difference Between WM & EWM?

Hi,

Can anyone please explain me what is the difference between WM(Warehouse Management) and EWM(Extended Warehouse Management) ?

In What way EWM differs from WM? Thanks in Advance.

Good morning,

I want to known, if someone has more details than me, informations about the technical differences between WM and EWM. I read a lots of discussion on this forum (SAP) but are not so recently and i want to know something else for my Technical  upgrade- study  from Enterprise to ECC.6.0:

-EWM is own of ECC.6.0 or existed before in Enterprise?

- EWM is a new module stand alone or is integrated with WM?

- EWM has replaced/will replace WM?

Every kind of help or suggestion would be appreciated.

Hi Marilena,

eWM is not a replacement for WM. eWM is a seperate server.

The additional functionality is labour management and more tracability of the stock.

Storage process control is the new functionality which has been added which does not exist in ERP system.
