Error in configuring TREX 7.0

Former Member

I have installed TREX 7.0 and CRM 5 on different machines. When I configuring Trex in stand-alone trex-admin-tool according to TREX manual, I get error message "RFC Destination could not be created " and error in log:

>TS> Fri Dec 15 12:55:23 2006

T:2916 ======> Name or password is incorrect (repeat logon)

T:2916 <* RfcReceive [2] : returns 3:RFC_SYS_EXCEPTION

but I can login with SAP GUI using this login and password.

Any solutions how to make it work?

Thanks.

Hello,

what are the authorizations of the user you are trying to create the rfc dest with?

Hello, a gave SAP_ALL profile to user.

I install SAP GATEWAY on host with TREX and problem solved - now everything works fine.

Hello,

well, that's fine. But you do not need the gateway, you could as well directly connect to the gateway of the SAP System (even if it's not running on the same host).

But in this case, you need to manually change the TREX config file TREXRfcServer.ini.

kind regards,

Carl

Hello, thanks for your replay.

That is my TrexRFcServer.ini:

Hi Evgeniy,

please don't change anything in the TREXRfcServer.ini or topology.ini by the hand. It could cause a lot of problems.

What's the used version of the TREX exactly : TREX 7.0 SP??

What's the patch level for ABAP? TREX should have at least the same patch level as SAP basis. Should the TREX logon into the same client, as you tried manually?

Best regards,

Version of the TREX I get from TrexAdminToll -> Help -> About Version 7.00.25.00

ABA SP 06 for 7.00

Clients are the same.

Hi Evgeniy,

the fastest way to solve issue is looking on your system directly. Can I ask you to

open support call for bc-trx component. Are you sure, that the user stored in TREXAdmin for RFC connection should use the same (default) mandant which is used normally when you logon into the R/3 directly óver SAP Gui?

Mikhail

Currently I have installed Gateway on host with TREX and everything works fine. So now problem is solved.
