I wanted to understand the importance of translation ratios for conversion from a decimal to non-decimal currency and vice-versa. Can somebody throw some light on the same and as well as support it with some sample data.

Hi Anurag,
Trasation ration plays an imporatant part in currency conversion, it basically define the relation-ship \ ration on which currency are transalated based on exchnage rate.
best e.g. would be japan Yen,
normally transalation ratio is usd to yen = 1:100 ~
