Steps to Enhance 0VENDOR_ATTR

Hi SDN,

Can someone please give me steps to enhancing 0VENDOR_ATTR matser data?

I was able to get the data till the extractor and I can see that filed is populated in RSA3.

I need to know the next steps in BW side icluding the dataloads.

Hi Kumar,

For ur Infoobject :

1)First activate the datasource in RSA5

2)trasfer the datasource in RSA6

3) replicate the datasource in BW source systems area

4) assign the infosource

5) mapp the fields to the infobjects and activate the Trasfer rules

6) and create the Infopackage for Init or Full

7) if init create an another Infopackage for Delta

first do an init then go for the Delta ..

load the data ..

Hi Kumar,

I believe 0VENDOR is already in ur BW system.

Now replicate the datasources in BW for the sourcesystem. Search for the 0VENDOR_ATTR datasource. Then map it to the concerned infosource in BW. Then maintain the transfer rules. Then you can go for loading.

Hi,

If you can see the data for the new field in RSA3, then in BW you first need to make sure you have an InfoObject in 0VENDOR attributes that can be mapped to this new field. You can judge if you need to activate this char from business content or create a new one. Replicate the datasource to BW and then you will need to map the char to the field in the transfer structure and in the rules. Then you can attempt a load.

Hi Kumar,

go to rsd1and search for 0VENDOR. if you find the object

a) content version: you need to activate the 0VENDOR from the business content. go to business content tabstrip in rsa1 and then select the info object and collect it (collect the object and data flow before it, so that its easy)

b) in active/revised version you don't need to do the above part and you just need to replicate the data source and connect the master data to the data source and activate it.

Hi,

I have created InfoObject,added this object to 0VENDOR as an attribute and replicated the datasource in BW.But this new field is not showing up in transfer rules in assign-InfoObject field section on right hand side for mapping.

Did I do anything wrong? Why this filed is not showingup in transfer rules?

1st you see fields at rsa6 in r/3.

if you can see this field there then you will get at BW side.

Hi,

I can see that filed in RSA6 and can see the data in RSA3 as well.

But can't see that field in BW side.

I have replicated the datasource in BW, but still cannot see that field.
