what is ECN number?

Hi,

What is ECN number? how to validate it?

I am working with a report ( MM module) the intial screen contains material, Plant cost of rework, and disposition..

I want to display a valid ECN number in header.

Please help me

Hi

Its exact full form is Engineering Change Number.

As far I can understand its the material code or material no along with the serial no is termed as Engineering Change Number.

And the report u have to make is to show the materials whose status is valid at the time is run.
