no message prompted to fill mandatory fields in sap portal

Hi,

I have a requirement to make the Form of address (Mr, Ms, etc) a required field in IT0002 and in portal.

We have made the necessary update in the following tables V_T588MFPROPS, V_T588MFPROPC and V_T588M.

The config is ok backend.

But when tested in ESS, when we left the Form of address field blank it does not prompt any error message. The system is just not proceeding with the next screen.
