Hello Amol,
First of all, please check PAM if your current OS and DB is supported with EHP5.
You can check this at:
To upgrade your system to EHP5, you will need to register your system in SMSY (solman) and then generate a stack xml from mopz which will also enable the downloading of all the Support packages for the upgrade.
Please check the guide:
"How to Install Enhancement Package 5 for SAP ERP 6.0"
at
http://service.sao.com/instguides
SAP Business Suite Applications ->

Hi Amol,
First of all you have to decide on strategy on how you would be proceeding upgrade.
i.e. by using Dual landscape or directly to original landscape.
Then you have to evaluate and estimate testing strategy and plan.
for your customized objects you have to extract list of objects needs remediation as post upgrade few of your functionalities might not work and needs advance planning to avoid any last minute shock to your management.
so in short, for upgrade you need to do lots of planning, In previous responses against your query their is enough material you can download and read to perform planning.
To have actual look and feel and understand the impact, you can plan a sandbox upgrade and ask functional team to perform pre and post upgrade testing and take their feedback that if they are comfortable with the changes. Also, involve ABAP team to perform remediation to any obsolete piece of code.
Hope you got enough information to start with,
Cheers and best of luck....

Hi Amol,
First of all, i would advise you to upgrade your database to 11g as 10.2.0.2 is out of maintenance by SAP soon.
(2) Generate stack.xml via MOPZ, you need to have a solution manager EHP1 SP24.
(3) Identify technical usage for your ERP system
(4) Download all the SPs, Kernel and etc
(5) Upgrade tool - EHPI
For more technical info, you can refer to http://scn.sap.com/community/enhancement-packages/blog/2012/03/28/sapadmin-ehp-technical-checklist-b...
