Error getting while loading master data 0PRODORDER from 0PRODORDER_ATTR DS

Hi Experts,

While loading master data to  0PRODORDER from  0PRODORDER_ATTR  datasource iam getting error in DTP.

below is the error...

Diagnosis

    Data record 85 & with the key '100000000084 &' is invalid in value

    '9411111008 &' of the attribute/characteristic 0MATERIAL &.

System Response

    The system has recognized that the value mentioned above is invalid, and

    has processed this general error message. A subsequent message may give

    you more information on the error. This message refers to the same

    value, even though it does not state this explicitly.

Procedure

    If this message appears during a data load, maintain the attribute in

    the PSA maintenance screens. If this message appears in the master data

    maintenance screens, leave the transaction and call it again. This

    allows you to maintain your master data.

I checked OMSL settings the length of material is 18 and i checked box for Leading Zeros.

Can any body give me the solution for this.

Hi nag.

As suggested by above threads there is space after your material. You can find out that.

In the error stack single data selection put your cursor at DATA PACKET NUMBER FILED and then come to down fields by using KEYBOARD down arrow, when u reached MATERIAL field the cursor is one position after the material value.(9411111003 | )

Delete the space and save the records. and then execute the Error dtp.

Hi Nag,

Try to enable error stack and run the dtp. I'm not sure, but it seems there are some invalid characteristics in the data. Once the data is filtered in error stack, it will be easy to identify the culprit

Hi Ananth,

Just go to the PSA table and check the respective data record number records along with success full records then u may come to know some idea....

Hi,

There is invalid data for the fields 0PRODVERS( Production Version) and 0MATERIAL (Material)

Check for any spaces or special characters in the data for the fields and edit those.

If you dont find any, compare the data with successful records

Error Stack Errors records where 86 and 88 records are not showing it means those records are correct..... I pasted PSA Mainenance Records below this Error stack records. for 86 and 88 records there is no Material number that's what those were correct.

Hi Ananth,

Compare the error records in Error Stack with successful records. Error might be some invalid characteristics or some invalid format in any filed. Find the error and correct it in failed records in error stack and push them to the target.

Hi Ananth,

The error is due to missing value in those fileds in record number 86 and 88.

Since there are different values for the same fields in sucessful records, we can not predict the correct value for that filed. The data is missed while posting the transaction in the source system. So we need to correct data in the source system side.

here 86 and 88 does'nt have material..... it means if there is no material number  the record was successfully loading. If there is material number in record its throughing error.

Hi Nag,

Can you tell me what is the source and target for your DTP?

maintain the setting in DTP Update tab "Valid Records Update, No reporting Possible".

Now run the DTP, as we have errors records it will fail. Goto Details tab in DTP monitor --> Drill down till data Package level.

You will get the data packages in red which ever failed. Drill down those data packages further and post that screenshot here.

If you need a document on how to edit the Error stack then look at below one.

From this I understood that there is space after '0 ' and also space after '3 ' and also space after '1 '...which I made bold, check them once.

I faced the similar kind of problem, so I solved by deleting the space.

NOTE: In my situation when there is a space in 10 records, the system is throwing error as  in record 1 there is a invalid characteristic, after deleting the space in the 1st record and loading from psa, again it throws that, record 2 has invalid characteristic ....so filter the field with that number(with space) so it will show all the records with spaces. then you can edit them at a time.

When i execute Error DTP the following are the errors...

For Material i maintained length as 18 in OMSL Settings for both sides Ecc and BI Side. All the special chars included in RSKC.

Please give me the solution.

Hi Nag,

In screeshot it is clearly visible there is spaces for Product version and material.

now select each record in error stack and click on edit --> click on product version and material, click on back space and delete the space.

do the same for all records. and save all records.

now run the display error DTP to move all this corrected records to target.

now make the earlier red request to green.

Try to keep the cursor in right most of your material block "material 9411111003           ", the pointer will blink after 1 space.Check it once.

I know, the space is due to length but what I am trying to say is there is a space after 3.One space after 3.

I faced the same problem in my project, while editing in psa when I try to place the cursor right most (in your scenario like 18th place) the cursor is automatically going to 11th place i.e., if 3 is in 10th place the cursor blinks at 11th..then i came to understand that there is a space after 3.

Have you tried padding zeroes at the left most of the material number?

Also try activating the material number and reload the dtp. I'm not very sure if activating material number data can help you
