Dear Gurus,
Am dng STO using 2 steps.
For E.g:
I transfer material "ABC" from Plant "Y" to plant "Z". After Dng mvt.type 303 and 305, in MB51 it shows
Mvt Type Qty Customer Site
305 1 AP11
303 1 AP11 AP11
303 1- AP11 AP14
tot: 1
My doubt is , why the system is showing the middle value.? what is the logic behind this.....
plz explain.....
thx in adv.............
Dear mmBoy,
As far as Mvt type 303 is considered SAP will create two entries with Positive & Negative values.
Negative quantity for movement of goods from site to storage location & Positive is yet to be transferred from storage location to other site but logically it is putting the stock in transit.
In case of Mvt type 305 it will show you Positive quantity as it is received by that site.
Hence if you will not mention site & storage location in MB51, it will show you total 3 entries.
2 lines for Mvt 303 & 1 line for Mvt 305 as you can see in you attachment & above posted scrrnshots.
I hope this may help you little bit.
With regards,
Akshay

Please check Note 1355172 - MB51: Error setting minus sign
Hi,
Mvt Type Qty Customer Site Sloc
303 1 AP11 AP11 Plz explain what this line explaining?
As per my knowledge that line indicates that the stock has been posted to "stock in transit". You will not find the storage location as in the receiving plant you will find storage location but not for "stock in transit"

Manish
Hi,
Please note the below:
Execute the report with both movement types 303 & 305.
If you execute MB51 report only with 303 then you will find two line items one with positive qty & another with negative qty as shown below.
Mvt Type Qty Customer Site Sloc
303 -1 AP11 0001
303 1 AP11 AP11
If you execute MB51 report only with 305 then you will NOT find two line items.
So note that you will never get any excess qty in this report even if you sum it. Check the screen shot below.
Other Points to note: If you still feel client is getting panic then create 2 variants which will give only 303 and 305 report separately
Hi
303 will only remove the stock from sending plant, then it will be in transit.(stock in transit) till you do 305 for receiving plant.
As you do 303 the stock will be in transit so its showing it for AP11.

Hi,
immediately after issuing stock from AP14 plant (loc 303), logically stock reduces in AP14 and sits in transit. so here bottom line showing negative qty bcz stock reduced in plant AP14. logically system should show equilent stock(which is actually in transit), so here system showing qty 1 with positive stock(indicates increases) in plant AP11.
even after doing receipt in AP11, MB51 shows all history of material movements.
i hope it clarifies
Pavan
it has posted stock from stg. loc. to plant level and hence stock is in transfer.
It has posted 2 lines for 303, one for removal of stock from stg.loc of plant AP14 and second for receipt into Plant AP11 (without stog. loc).
Entry is similar to SIT with 351.
I hope it helps.

the general understanding of doing 2 step movement is to track the removal or issue from one location to receipt at another location.
And hence first step 303 is issuing the stock from first location (AP14) and as second step is yet to be performed but logically it is puting the stock in transit (SAP term for this mvt. is transfer).
And after that with your 305 it will post receipt into AP11 at stg. loc. and available for issue.

Hi,
When you use 303 movement type stock is taken from AP11 and the stock will be intransit.
If you check MB52 stock report it will be under "Stock in transit"
Check the screen shot.
When you do movement of 305 the stock will be moved to receiving plant AP14.
That is the reason when you do 303 movement type there will be a additional line item in MB51 against 303 but if you check storage location it will be blank.
