Webi on top of BW Query (BICS), authorzation variable, weird variable screen

Hi,

our webi document is based on a BW query which uses a couple of input ready variables, also one authorization variable (based on a charactistic). The variables are independent and no user exit variable are used.

Problems we face:

1. For some users the LOVs of the variables show the technical name of the values, for some others the descriptions.
2. The order of variables (only BW variables) in the Webi variable screen differ for different users.
3. Sometimes not the LOVs for a variable are displayed but the window which normally shows the LOVs shows the name of the variables. In some case it helps to set the variable values for the other variables again. After that also for other variables the LOVs are displayed

Do you have any idea for that? We use XI 4.0 SP2.12. The authorization variable uses the old BW authorization concept (rsadmin).

Hi Andreas,

For your first issue, kindly set the Preferred Viewing Locale in InfoView >> Preferences >> Web Intelligence to a language used for BW data and then test the issue. Kindly refer SAP Note 1203410 for the details explanation.
