BusinessObjects Authentication configuration details

Hi  Friends

As our client would like to know the UME ( config source Business Objects is using for authentication. 

could you please help me how to know which type of authentication the user is using for authentication.(Like LDAP or Windows Ad)

or please share some document.

for quick turn around.thanks for providing information.I refer the document as mentioned by you.

But I do not find any configuration details related to any changes made in Windows AD password  that would reflect in BO(related to password change )

Means what activity has to be done from BO side if any password changed done at windows AD side
