Hi Rishi,

This is only for other people who find difficulty in finding a central location for TREX documents.

http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-8489

One place for complete information.

Thanks,

Judging from your question, you are installing TREX under Windows. There are installation guides and SAP Help documents available like this one: http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwes72/helpdata/DE/45/6ddd60fe7b40bfe10000000a1553f7/content.htm

The domain depends on where you created the SAP users:

In SAP System User Domain ® Domain Model, enter the Windows domain in which the user accounts for the SAP system have been created:

And that answer only you can know. So choose the domain where you created the users.

go for Local Installation..Those options are mainly for , which Admin user you want to use, either a Local Admin or a Domain AD User

better go for a Local Admin User option..

you can connect the TREX with other systems

either you can go for a wizard driven or a manual config on the TREX

Normally the post installation steps involve Configuring the

1) Admin tool

2) IIS

3) Proxy, Language of TREX

4) SLD and some performance settings..

Run the wizard based config and see what all options you see.

I belive the SAPInst would give you the Wizard for the config...

Anyways, have you looked at the installation guide...You need to read thru the installation guide for any SAP system installation..

It provides a comrehensive list of steps to be done along with the notes to be applied.

Here is the link to TREX 7.1 inst guide

https://websmp203.sap-ag.de/~sapidb/011000358700000854952007E/TREX71InstallSingleHost.pdf

Go thru it completely..

sandip,

i have done the installation with the guide only and i am now here :

The TREX basic configuration comprises the following areas:

1)Wizard-Based Basic Configuration for TREX

2)TREX Post-Installation Configuration

3)Connecting TREX with an Application

for wizard procedure it says call the wizard based configuration tool as described in configuration wizard documentation , now the problem is where can i find the tool or documentation to call it, its not mentioned in the guide

IS IT OK to skip this and start with rest all post activities

The tool name is LMTOOLS..You will have to download it from Marketplace..

If you are not comfortable using it, I would suggest you do the confi manually..You can skip the first step I believe and proceed with all the other config tasks manually..

Hi Sandip,

I have the same problem now. I have installed TREX, but according to what you and Configuration Wizard - SAP Library indicate, I have to download LMTOOLS to complete the basic configuration, but how can I proceed with applying the patch? I can't find SDM in the TREX installation path. Is SUM OK?Additionally, I have to access http://<host><httpport>/nwa, but what the default httpport number? The TREX is not the same architecture with normal SAP systems. Could you help me with these questions? Thank you very much.
