Latest Indexing failed - BO Explorer

Hello Experts,

We are on BO 4.0 Patch 2.9, after creating an information space on top of a Universe in the step of " Indexing" it's failing. Am not sure what's the reason.

Even when i tried creating an information space on top of a spreadsheet i am getting " latest indexing failed" error.

BO Explorer Index Server version from CMC Services node:

Version14.0.2.r657_v20120322

Can you please help me, what may be the reason here please?

Hi Tilak,

You can restart the explorer servers and check again,

If that is not helping then there might be other reason like when there is no data to fetch either due to relevant data missing in the database or due to access restrictions imposed by universe-centric row-level security.

Also can you please post the exact error message you are getting?

Are you logged in with administrator into BI Launchpad?

Thanks Ashish, i have loged in with Admin user. So dont think that there would be any issues related to access. i will check today by restarting the explorer services and let you know.

In this installation we dont have any separate h/w for explorer. I think it's gets installed by default with other client tools. isn't it? please correct me.

Its not a client tool,

you can open it using the direct link or from BI launchpad.

In CMC you can restart the services for explorer and let me know the results.

Let me know the exact error message too.

Hi Ashish,

When apply Indexing now in Explorer 4.1 it Shows the following error, Using SAP BI 4.1 SP6. Please give me valid suggestions.

Hi Tilak,

It is very intereseting.

For excel file, do you face any issue during creation InfoSpace?

If not, I guess there maybe something wrong in server side
