Is there additional licensing required to use BPMon in SM7.1?

Hi,

We are looking to use the Business Process monitoring functionality of Solution Manager to perform end-2-end monitoring of CRM and a number of other application such as SAP xECM, SAP PI and non-SAP applications.

Can anyone tell me whether there is any additional license cost required to use this functionality? I have raised a question to SAP but still awaiting a response...

Hi Brian,

we are using bpmon with legacy,pi,bi, crm, Erp, No extra license is required.

Thanks for the information. Really good to know. So it looks like we will proceed with BPMon as well 🙂

One other question (not sure if you can anwer it) - in your experience, is it possible to monitor and alert on web service calls (e.g. between CRM and a non-SAP system publishing a web service) without having to route the call through PI? i.e. does Solution Manager provide direct monitoring of web service calls?
