Rapid mart job failure due to low virtual memory

Hi Friends,

As I often find there are some rapid marts which failed due to low virtual memory.

I generally forward these to the OS people to increase virtual memory size.

Would like to know why this happens ? and is there any way to avoid this problem.

Hello

I suspect this is because your job server isn't particualry powerful or running in a VM.  Data Services/Data Integrator (you don't mention what you're using) will consume as much memory as it requires.

Easily avoided by running Data Services on suitable hardware. 😉

Hello,

What my concern is, if the job server is the reason for failure then why rest of the jobs which are fetching even more data are not failing. I am facing this issue with one of my job where in the job is failing with error- "Your system is running low on process virtual memory space. " . The same job is failing daily.

Please help me to resolve this.
