identify datasource for standard BEx query

Hi,

I am in SAP BI 7.3 EHP1. I have a requirement to install the BI content standard queries.

User will give the standard BEx query name, then my challenge is to identify the datasource in the ECC for that paricular query. Then i must install the datasource in ECC and replicate it to the BI side.

Now i need to identify the datasource in ECC for the BEx queries.

I know that we can collect these details from "data flow before and after" in RSA1----BI content---grouping mode.

I checked in BI content, for both query and for the infocube even though i have given "data flow before and after"i could not see the transformations, ECC datasource etc . Why is this case? Am i missing anything?

Hi,

Better go with Grouping mode " Data Flow Before", by this u can know on which target the Query was build, once u find the Data Target,

Now select Data Target and grouping mode as" Data Flow Before" and Select respective source system  in the source system assignment. so that Data Source will be identified,

Hope this resolves.

Hi Naresh,

I had tried that way too. But not working.

0PY_ C02_Q002 query is based on infocube OPY_C02 whic  takes data from infosource 0HR_PY_1 and it takes data from the datasource 0HR_PY_1. Do i need to replicate the datasource and then give a try?

Source system release 701 is not the same as local information 700

Message no. RSAR671

Diagnosis

The replicated system information (table RSBASIDOC) indicates that system RIXHRD040 has Basis Release 700. However, the system actually has Basis Release 701.

System Response

If BI Content is delivered for the Release, the system cannot find it when it collects the BI Content.

Procedure

Activate the source system and refresh the metadata
