PO Release Strategy Reset and Selection of changeable fields at Release Indicators

We have implemented PO Release Strategy based on characteristics Document type, Purchasing Group and Total Value but our client needs more:

a) How to reset release strategy in PO during and after release when User:

1. Change payment terms
2. Delivery dates / Delivery Schedule
3. Change in Quantity material
4. Change in Conditions include or exclude in condition tab

   v.  Change in material code

   vi. Change in service code

b) How to control field selection in PO with PO release indicator as we can do in PR release indicator settings i.e how to select which fields should be editable at a particular release indicator ?

For a) You have to use Version Management for your requirement,

For b) You can edit the Field selection Key from T-code OLME > Purchase Order > Define Screen Layout at Document Level > For ME21N or NBF

a) How will version management reset release if I change any of the above mentioned parameters ? Can you kindly explain ? You must be talking about release reset upon new version but is there any other way ?

b) The field selection whose path you have given is general field selection for creation of PO. I am asking about the field selection for changeability indicator in customizing for release indicator for PO release i.e. if I have changeability indicator 6 for a release indicator, how can I select the fields upon changing whom the release strategy will be reset.

a) No other options except Version Management

b) There is no concept of Field selection key in PO like you see in PR also there is nothing called changeability indicator in customizing for release indicator for PO release, It is only found in PR Release setup
