Transport Request FM

hi all

when a transport request is created for a report program then which function modules are used (which r remote enabled) to send this Transport Request to Application Server?

Check the function modules starting with TR (TR*).

i want to know when a transport request is created for a report program then which FM are invloved for transporting this request from Development server to Quality server, so these FM are remote enabled.

Hi,

If the server are in landscape then the basis will create a transport router then which internally FM will execute then it is possible to import your request in which ever server you require which in the landscape.

To import the request in the landscape,their is a process to done.

hi,

Use this FM SALRT_CREATE_API or TMS_TM_GET_TRLIST this which is remote enabled for your requirement.

Hi martin,

1. good question.

2. In fact, the core work of transport is not done by RFC fms.

3. Instead the DEV server,

calls up tp.exe and t3trans.exe

operating system level programs (made by sap)

which actually do & manage, the whole transport of requests,

from one server to another server.
