Disp+work not working! (with trace file)

Hi,

After starting the SAP MMC,it shows Dispatcher(Disp+Work.exe) Stopped in process list of SAP MMC.

This sounds like you don't have enough physical memory to start the system with the current profile parameters... What are your box specs?

You are reaching a memory bottleneck, please reduce em/initial_size_MB to 2048 and try to start the system. You basically are trying to allocate far to much memory to the SAP system and having the DB running simply is exhausting it. I also recommend you to put more memory on that box 6GB for an ECC system is simply not good enough.

Simply change the parameter by editing directly  the instance profile under \<SAPGLOBALHOST>\sapmnt\<SID>\sys\profile\ directory

Just adding this in case anyone finds this from google or something:

I have had this very problem with the Netweaver Trial NWABAPTRIAL70304_64 during installation. I was able to locate the profile(s) in D:\usr\sap\NSP\SYS\profile. I have added the line

em/initial_size_MB  = 2048

to all profile files I found, as I was not sure which one is the correct one to use.

Now everything works fine.
