    issue regarding assignments of rights to users in CMC

    Hi all,

    i am facing one issue related to assignment of rights to users.I logged into cmc with user id "x" and i created user id "y" and user group "g" and added this user id "y" into group "g".by default every user is a member of "everyone" group and it has access level "no access" at root folder(of public folders), i changed right to "view" at root folder level and also added group"g" i created to root folder under user security and given full control. when i select ok and come back in cmc and launch pad iam not able to see public folders even with user id that i logged in first  into cmc and created user ids.But if iam accessing from xcelsius iam able to see all public folders.(with user id "x" that i used to create other users).can you help me on this

      Okay follow this,

       

      1. Go to access levels in CMC and create ViewOnlyThisLevel access level with assigning following rights.

      2. Go to Folders in CMC. At the top Manage > Top-Level Security > All Folders

      3. Select Everyone and click Assign Security button.

      4. Select the Access Level you created in step one and click on > button.

      5. Click OK.

       

      This will give Everyone a View right on the ROOT folder (Public Folder). After that, you can assign your security on other folders.
