Hi There

There is a migration path, but it is advised that you contact your local SAP representative to get more information and a proper effort estimate regarding the migration.

At a brief overview as per Raghu's post, the migration tool currently takes BPC 7.0 /  7.5 MS Appsets to 7.5 NW but can only be done by a certified migration consultant.

The migration tool has the following support and limitations:

Supported:

A possible migration path 'could' be migrate to 7.5 NW then use the program UJT_MIGRATE_75_TO_10 to migrate your 7.5 NW appset to a ver 10 Environment, but this is only a possible option. There is a migration path from MS to NW, but unfortunately the tool will only take across the standard functionality, and requires some considerable work. It is highly recommended to contact your SAP office to get more information and guidance on the migration tool set, path and steps needed to perform the migration.

The reason why I have singled out 'could' is due to the fact that ultimately the migration is dependant on the complexity of your application set. If you have a lot of customizations or custom SSIS packages, then you will need to redo all of that logic into a custom process chain. If your reports contain highly complex and nested EVDRE's. You will invariably end up rebuilding the report using the new EPM functions.

I hope this helps and points you in the right direction

Kind Regards

Daniel

Hi Vigneswararao,

There is a migration tool from migrating BPC MS to NW version. The migration tool can only be used by the Certified Migration Consultants. I suggest you to get in touch with your SAP Account Manager for info. on this.
