Cannot find "Create View Set" in BI 4.0 SP4

Dear Experts,

We have updated our BOE into BI 4.0 SP4 which already included Explorer 4.0 SP3

But we found a strange thing is that when we open one infosapce, we cannot see the button for "Create View Set" which is used to create Exploeration View according to SAP turitoal

Could you kindly let me know this is due to authorization issue or other issue

In CMC -> Applications- > Explorer -> User Rights check to see if "Exploration View Sets: Create exploration view set" is set to granted for the user or group.

Thanks for the response. I have adminstrator privileges, but I dont find any right to be assigned as

"Exploration View Sets: Create exploration view set". I am using BI4.0 SP05.

Did you try to add/remove rights for your access level?

Forget one

In your access level, the default filter is Assigned access

Please use No filters

Hello guys, I have a similar issue / behavior.

I observe if I click on a "Exploration space" in Launchpad, I do not see Create View Set.  But if I launch from Lauchpad/Application/Explorer, then I see it.

Do you observe the same behavior ?

Hi Patrick,

This is normal behavior.
If you open an info space from BI LaunchPad document list you are opening it in a viewer not the full application where you can edit and create new View Sets.

Hummm! I understand that.  But do you find it normal. ? I mean, why a regular user can't create a view set when he visualling it.

We will need to educate user to open "Explorer" from application when they want to create view !  I still don't understand the hic!  2 ways do to things !!!
