Costing terminated, as costing in plant locked - Msg. CK2002

Hi all,

please advice,

During costing run executed in background following error message appears in the job log (in SM37):

Costing terminated, as costing in plant XXXX is locked

Message no. CK2002

Diagnosis

The system determined during the costing that a material in plant XXXX is being costed.

System Response

You cannot cost the material at present.

Procedure

If you carry out the costing run in the background, or if more than 500 materials are selected by the system, make sure that no costing is done in the plants to be costed on costing date DD.MM.YYYY.

In CK40N no log is created for costing step as the costing has been terminated.

there are situations where this message can occur. Check SAPNET note 1415153 maybe this is helpful for you.

Thanks Christian, you were right.

Beside the costing run there are some other lock entries in SM12 for lock object ECKEKOW within the same plant and therefore the message appears.
