PO not blocked for release while adding new line item.

Customer created a PO it went for release properly and released well. But  addind a new line item in PO.  This PO was not blocked for release. I tested in Development and Quality it is working fine. But, in production only it was not picking release strategy. Need your inputs here.

Hi ,

check whether you have maintained the release indicator as 3  for the release strategy in PRD server.

if you set the release indicator as 3, any chnages in PO will trigger a new strategy.

Dear Raja,

We maintained release indicator as 4 only. This is working for remaining all PO's, We are getting problem in only one PO. Any Idea?

Hi,

Go for changeable indicator 6 in release indicators designed  for Released(R) with use of

User exit EXIT_SAPLEBND_002 ( modify function module ME_REL_STRATEGIE_EKKO ) for to reset existing release strategy for reduced quantity and/or values which serve your purpose for adding new line in the Purchase order.

NOTE: Keep following changeable indicator in release indicator  for PO

ReleaseIndicator ..Released ..Changeability .Value change % ....Description

B .................................................................................................Blocked

R..............................X..................6..............................................Released
