Hello anyone,
can anyone please guide me on that.. i am getting funny error while i run ./sdbverify

Hello,
You changed the permissions of the MAXDB installed software manually, what is not recommended.
The permissions and ownership should be set correctly during the installation or upgrade by MAXDB installation or upgrade tool.
What was changed manually?
Did you copy database software?
Example:
ERR: Access mask of file "/sapdb/DEV/db/msg/SDBMsg_RTEInst.xml" was changed [0444 => 0777]
You changed permissions for this file to 0777, but it should be 0444.

A) Run as root:
chmod 555 /sapdb/*/db/*
chmod 444 /sapdb/DEV/db/msg/*
chmod 444 /sapdb/clients/DEV/msg/*
chmod 0500 /sapdb/*/db/pgm/starter
chmod 4510 /sapdb/*/db/pgm/starter/*
chmod 2500 /sapdb/*/db/bin/starter
chmod 4510 /sapdb/*/db/bin/starter/*
After that as root and run:
cd /sapdb/programs/bin
and post output of the commands:
./sdbverify
./sdbregview –l
./dbmcli inst_enum
./dbmcli db_enum
Or
b)
that as root and run:
cd /sapdb/programs/bin
and the commands:
./sdbverify
./sdbregview –l
./dbmcli inst_enum
./dbmcli db_enum
Check that you have have the installation packages for the same versions available on the server first
Run as root:
./sdbverify --set_corrupted_invalid
./sdbregview –l
< see the invalid packages

In the next step, go to installation package unpack directory as root.
