Hi All
I'm a BI+ABAP consultant and very much interested in learning SAP HANA.
Can you please guide me from where to start? What are the pre-requisties?
I'm going through all the forums and documents but now my knowledge is all in bits and pieces. Step by step guide would be very helpful and would also help others interested in it.
Regards
Murthy
Hi Murthy,
You have already started by joining this community. :-). Please search the forum and you will find many such posts on the starting point.
You can check https://www.experiencesaphana.com/welcome for the videos and knowledge base, refer to http://scn.sap.com/community/developer-center/hana for the technical documents and reference guides, there is also information on getting 30 days access to HANA environment.
As I mentioned, search on this forum itself and you will find elaborate information on how to start learning SAP HANA.

Ravi

Hi Murthy/Ravindra/Rama/Vaibhav/Thiru,
Hope you all are doing good
Need some guidance for going further in SAP HANA.
Right now I am working as an ABAP Constutant with close to 3 yrs exp and I have also done SAP HANA HA100 course recently.
Moving further, HANA being next level in SAP, i wanted to know which would be best for me to learn right now so that it would help me work in HANA.
Keeping in mind that ABAP on HANA is going to take quiet sometime, should I go ahead and start learning BI/BO so that it would help me in Implementation/Modeling in HANA..
Looking forward for your valuable advice for me to choose the right path.
Thanks a lot in advance
Avinash Raju

Murthy:
Welcome to the HANA community!
Adding to Ravi's points: the basic pre-req to start learing HANA is to have good knowledge with RDBMS concepts (tables, views, procedures, etc..)
My suggestion for you is to first get sandbox access and then tryout few sample applications provided in https://www.experiencesaphana.com so that you get a feel for what HANA modelling is all about.
Good luck!
Hope this helps.

Rama
