Set up of MOPZ with Solution Manager 7.1

Hello!

We have installed 2 SAP ERP EHP6 systems and would like to upgrade a add-on IS-H from the version 6.00 to 6.06.

Therefore we need to set up Maintenance Optimizer within Solution Manager 7.1

What are the steps/minimal configuration (SMSY/SLD, LMDB system registration) to get XML-stack file for the upgrade?

hi,

for smsy,sld, lmdb set up is common and basic pre requestie for all the configuration.

can get the steps for here.

Once you done, need to maintain ur suser in AISUSER Tcode, map with your sap system user.

And you also need to make sure your SAPOSS RFC working fine.

And for MOPZ configuration and stack file generation, refer here

And once you generated the stack xml, it will be available under ehp /in directory of solman,

Is DAA agent supposed to be installed on satellite system in order configure MOPZ and EWA? To my findings I see DAA only used for E2E? Please advice.

No.. Diagnostic agent is not required to configure MOPz. For MOPz your satelite system information should be maintained in SLD as SLD/LMDB feed your solution manager with your system information.

Apart from this your basic configuration has to be completed. This includes activation of BC sets for configurations and all HTTP services, creation of RFC connection to SMP, Assign S-user, Maintaining landscape and creating solution etc. After SP18, most Maintenance Optimizer configuration is done with SOLMAN_SETUP.
