Performance issue of ATP batch jobs

Hi,

How to improve the performance of ATP batchjobs.They take a lot of time to get processed.

Some tables that may be accessed include: VBBE & RESB.

RESB in particular causes performance issues during availability checks; SAP note 132013 offers one suggestion regarding this; it may help. 

If there are a lot of entries in RESB [particular entries with deletion indicator or final issue indicator set), you should consider an archiving project.

Also, as DB49 said in his reply, you can also investigate the use of the ATP server.

There are few ATP batch jobs (program SDV03V02) which are taking a lot of time (approx. 12 hrs) to get completed. How to improve the performance?

You could also implement ATP Server

There are lots more ideas, just start searching OSS notes.

Many companies are also implementing SCM with GATP to get better performance.  In addition to the performance benefit, there is also much more ATP functionality in SCM.
