I´m a new Basis technical consultant and i´m facing some issues trying to migrate a db standalone scheme to a cluster. I found that an homogeneus migration must be done and according to the System Copy for SAP Systems Based on SAP NetWeaver 7.1 Java technical guide it seems more like a system migration not only the database migration. Can anyone pls clarify this concept and if its possible to perform this task and how to do it? Since i haven´t found much info regarding to Java stack only apparently it was only neccesary to copy the .mdf files to the cluster and then configure the profile file.
usr/sap/sid/sys/profile file to point the db cluster host
detach the DB using the SQL Management Studio
Attach the db on the cluster server
Restart the instance in the SAP MMC (in this point the jstart.exe does no start at all)
