Integration between CATS and CO

Dear SAP mates,

I have the following issue:

If an employee assigned to a cost center lets say CC1 works for an another cost center CC2, at the end of the period, costs are to be allocated to CC2 for the number of hours that the emloyee has worked for CC2 @ of the cost per hour of CC1. In manual scenario we use the transaction KB21N to allocate the costs from one cost center to the other.

The question I have is, how will SAP know automatically the number of hours that the employee has worked for an another cost center than the one he is assigned to. Putting it in another way, how will be the integration between CATS and CO done for allocating the costs from one cost center to the other.

Hi,

When an employee records time using CAT2 (or ESS), his/her home CC (CC1 in your case) is default in with HR organization data. Employee needs to enter hours and receiver CC (CC2, in your case). Distribution from CC1 to CC2 takes place when CAT7 is executed.
