No Approve Button for Leave Request in MSS

Dear Expert,

I am configuring MSS/ESS in my new project. I already configured leave request in ESS and it's related workflow. Employee can request leave through ESS and it is sent perfectly.

When I open the Manager's ESS, the request appears in the UWL but I cannot find the the approve or reject button in the UWL.

Is there something I missed?

If it's the old UWL you are using and not the new POWL for leave approval then you would have to click on the Leave Request in the UWL to open the approval screen. The buttons for approve and reject are part of the approval screen, I haven't seen them appear in the UWL before. You will need to setup transaction SWFVISU to tell your UWL which task is your Leave Approval task and where your approval screen is located.

Could you please tell me how you resolved this issue?

For me the 'approve' button is appearing at the first time in the UWL. Then after I approve one of the leave, then the 'approve' button disappears!
