Java.exe is peggin my CPU at 100% on BOBJ 4.0 SP4 Install

We installed BOBJ 4.0 SP4 on a Windows 2008 server with 2 CPU's and 16 gb memory. It has been acting fine until we migrated a few hundred Crystal reports over last night. Now java.exe is pegging the CPU at 100%. It will ocassionally dip down to 10% or so.

Has anyone experienced this?

SAP Java VM Runtime binary is the java.exe.

THanks,

Jessa

it is most likely Platform Search/Index service going thru indexing of the content you added.

See Admin guide for more details on this service and also search SAP KB's for Platform Search BI4. Lot's of good KB's

If you have just migrated content, then Platform Search is indexing everything, please see Denis's suggestion

Thanks

Hello Jessica,

The other week, we had similar problem, but in our case it was tomcat.exe. We stopped Platform Search Indexing and everything started working smoothly.

You can check the OSS note 1717717 for this as well.
