Relate Unstructured Data (e.g. Job Descriptions in Adobe Portable Document Format) to Objects in the Org Management Structure (e.g. Object Type C – Job)

My client has a requirement to relate many job descriptions with file extension, for example .pdf, to jobs in the OM structure and search for job descriptions using elements of the OM structure (e.g. person, position, and job). 

Has anyone come across a solution to this type of requirement in their experience?

Hi James,

That was definitely unfair of you

In PP01 you can add an attachment to the Description infotype. Create a new or edit an exiting infotype record and then click the Services for Object button to the right of the infotype title. Click Create... and then Create Attachment.

You can actually use this feature for any infotype and even in the infotype selection screen in PP01. Wherever you see the Services for Object button you can add attachments.
