I try to schedule the report by email but I keep getting this error message "error in the report processing unit". Here is the error message. Thanks

Hi Tim,

Below are the possible causes and solution for this issue, hope it helps in your case:

Possible Causes:

The Job cannot run without a proper connection to the SMTP server:

• There is a connectivity issue with the SMTP Server. 
• The Destination settings in the Adaptive Job Server (AJS) have not been setup correctly.

  NOTE - If the issue is intermittent and there are multiple Adaptive Job Servers in the cluster,  ensure all email destinations are configured identically. 

Probable Resolution:

• Confirm a proper connection to the SMTP Server using the following web site - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/323350 
• Within the 'Destination' settings in the AJS confirm that the correct SMTP settings have been set for Email:  
  • Fully Qualified Domain Name 
  • Mail Host 
  • Port Number 
  • Correct Authentication, User Name, and Password

The problem is with your SMTP server settings.

Please confirm it with your network admin.

you can verify BO Server is talking to Email Sever via command prompt

This and telnet have been verified and the SMTP server is communicating.  Powershell results too.  All tests were successful.

Hi,

You'd need the SAP logon S-ID and password.  If you do not have this S-ID credential setup, I'd defer that to your SAP account administrator or your SAP account manager.
