Hi all...
I am activating different objects relating to one role...
The objects included are as follows :
Role
Application
InfoArea
InfoCube
Query Element
InfoObject
Communication Structure
3.x DataSource
InfoPackage
Transfer Rules
3.x InfoSource
Transfer structure
Web Item (Format SAP BW 3.x)
Source System
MultiProvider
Routine
BW Formula
Web Template (Format SAP BW 3.x)
Update rules
If I want to activate selectively, which should be the proper sequence to activate... As per me it should be
Role -> Application -> InfoArea -> InfoObjects -> Source System -> Infosource -> Communicatin Structure -> Tranfer structure -> Transfer Rules -> Data Source -> InfoCube -> Update Rules -> Infopackage -> Routines -> Queries -> Web Items -> Web Templates -> BW Formulas
Can anyone sugguest the modification in the above sequence.....
Thanks..
hi,
u should always activate the object whch plays arole in actiavting other object.
for eg withou activating infoobjecyt you cannot actvate infosource and master data etc.
also when you activate infoarea all the object in that infoarea gets activated.so.
Role -> InfoArea -> Application -> Source System ->Infosource -> Communicatin Structure -> Tranfer structure -> Transfer Rules -> Data Source -> InfoCube -> Update Rules -> Infopackage -> Queries -> Web Items -> Web Templates -> BW Formulas

Hi Uma,
I am new to SAP. Can you please elaborate the steps to activate BI queries? I am on step 1 and I cannot see the queries that I would like to collect to Activate.
Thanks,
Swetha.

Hi,
While selecting the object you have options for the installing.
Here you can select necessary objects in grouping.
Before and after these will serve the purpose and you dont need to worry about the order.
