Activate Member Recognition BPC10MS

Hi, does anyone know how to turn off "Activate Member Recognition" for all users who go into BPC10?  We know how to uncheck the box in sheet options but is there a universal way to uncheck for all users?  We have tried saving that way and it hasn't worked.  Is there a parameter to set for this or something?  Thanks a lot, Tracey

Hi Tracey,

The sheet options are not user specific. Its template specific. This means it should apply to all the users when they open this particular template.

If you want to set it by default, then you can go to:

C:\Users\<your user ID>\AppData\Local\EPMOfficeClient.

Open EPMXLClientPreference.XML.

In that document, you can add a line like:

<OnTheFlyMemberRecognition>false<\OnTheFlyMemberRecognition>

Hope this helps.

Hi Nilanjan,

Perhaps it is a bug that if it is a BPC 7 EVDRE, it will not save this sheet option for all of the users as this is what we have tested.

Thanks a lot, Tracey

Hi,

We have noticed that when installing the BPC 10 for MS on users machines, the setting for:

<OnTheFlyMemberRecognition>false<\OnTheFlyMemberRecognition>

... doesn't seem to be consistent.  For the users profile local settings/file, the setting in the file appears to be set to "true", however in the "Default" profile, it shows up as False, and for new users who log into the machine it appears to pick up from the "Default" setup.  Do you have any information/background on the initial install and expected settings for this file?

Thanks!

Hi Brian,

We face the same issue, the setting is not consistent among users.

Did you find a solution? Asking each user to update directly in the xml it`s not a good ideea.

Thank you,

Alecsandra
